PADI Divemaster Course

Turn your passion for scuba diving into a rewarding career with the PADI Divemaster course. As a divemaster, you'll become a leader and mentor, sharing the joy of diving with others while exploring the underwater world.

 

Academics:

  • Develop leadership skills to organize and supervise dive activities.

  • Refine dive skills, including the perfect hover and problem-solving techniques.

  • Gain in-depth knowledge of dive management, safety, and risk assessment.

  • Conduct specialized diving programs and assist with student divers.

  • Understand the business aspects of diving and career opportunities.

  • Enhance awareness of the dive environment and its conservation.

Requirements:

  • PADI Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent) and at least 18 years old.

  • Emergency First Response training within the past 24 months. (can be completed during the course)

  • Medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

  • Minimum of 40 logged dives to start the course and 60 dives for certification.

Transportation:

  • Each student is responsible for their own transportation to and from the pool, beach, and boats, as well as transporting their gear.

Weather:

  • As ocean conditions can be unpredictable, it's advisable to allocate extra time in your schedule to account for any potential changes.

  • Practical workshops cover mapping dive sites, search and recovery projects, and conducting scuba reviews.

  • Transportation to and from dive/training locations

Required Equipment (provided by students):

  • As a dive professional, it's recommended to have your own basic scuba equipment.

  • Essential gear includes a dive computer, dive knife, and at least two surface signaling devices.

  • Additional equipment like compass, floats, marker buoys, lift bags, and slates may be used during practical exercises.

  • Scuba mask, snorkel, and scuba fins

  • Wetsuit

  • Signal marker tube

  • Mask defog

  • Gear bag

  • Bathing suit and towel
