Rescue Diver Course

Take your diving skills to the next level with our comprehensive Rescue Diver course. Designed to equip you with essential emergency response skills, this program prepares you to handle dive emergencies both minor and major. The course provides crucial training to develop a broader range of rescue and emergency management skills.

 

Acedemics:

  • Complete your e-learning, watch instructional videos at your own pace before meeting your instructor.

  • Two days of open water training sessions at various dive sites.

  • Flexible scheduling for open water sessions, by appointment only.

  • No final exam or pool session required for the Rescue Diver Course.

What you'll learn:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress management.

  • AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems.

  • Dive first aid techniques.

  • Swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques.

  • Emergency management and equipment.

  • Panicked diver response.

  • Underwater problem-solving.

  • Missing diver procedures.

  • Rescuing an unconscious diver at the surface.

  • In-water rescue breathing protocols.

  • Exits techniques.

  • First aid for pressure-related accidents.

  • Dive accident scenarios.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement: 12 years old.

  • Certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent.

  • Certified as a PADI Emergency First Responder (CPR & First Aid) or equivalent within the last two years- Can be completed during the course

  • Clear medical history or physician's approval.

Transportation:

  • Each student is responsible for their own transportation to and from the pool, beach, and boats (Optional pick-ups available for an extra $20 per person)

Weather:

  • As ocean conditions can be unpredictable, it's advisable to allocate extra time in your schedule to account for any potential changes.

Medical Considerations:

  • Most individuals with good cardiovascular and respiratory health can obtain physician approval easily. If you can answer NO to all the questions on the Medical History form, you may not require a doctor's approval.

Included in Cost:

  • Educational materials and instruction.

  • Use of regulator, BCD, tanks, dive computer and weights, wetsuit, mask, fins, and snorkel

  • Two days of open water training from shore. (Shore dives can be upgraded to boat dives for an additional $40 per person.)

  • Certification card processing.

  • Private instructor

  • Study materials

Not Included:

  • Transportation to and from dive/training locations (Optional pick-ups available for an extra $20 per person)

  • Food and drinks

  • Gratuity

Recommended Equipment (provided by students):

**Will be provided but is recommended that student has these items**
  • Personal scuba gear: mask, snorkel, fins.

  • Wetsuit

  • Underwater compass

  • Surface signal (safety tube).

  • Cutting tool.

  • Slate.

  • Bathing suit and towel.

Course Cost:

  • $800 per person

  • Group rate of $520 per person for groups of 2 or more
